Ho Guom Xanh

HỒ GƯƠM XANH – WHERE OASISCONCEPT CRAFTS HERITAGE FROM CULTURAL INTERSECTION

OasisConcept's Identity: The Foundation for Bold Solutions

OasisConcept was founded by dedicated architects and Urban Planning specialists with a background of many years studying and working in France. Our foundation is built on the intersection of European design thinking and professional standards with a deep understanding of local culture and context. This is more than an advantage; it is our identity. Our strong connections with leading experts in France allow us to constantly update with the most advanced trends and technologies, ensuring every design idea is deeply "rooted" in reality to deliver true value.

2. The Project's Challenge: Decoding and Recreating Urban Heritage

When TBSLand named the project "Ho Guom Xanh" and created a large central lake with a model of Turtle Tower, they posed an immense challenge: How does one translate the soul of a thousand-year-old Cultural Heritage into a completely new urban space?

OasisConcept's task was not to copy, but to "decode" and "recreate." We had to craft a vibrant, emotional space with its own unique identity, one that honors the Urban Heritage of Hanoi.

3. Methodology & Comprehensive Design Solution

Our journey began by deeply analyzing the urban fabric around the original Ho Guom. We discovered that its charm stems from the unique intersection of two distinct urban traditions:

  • Vietnamese Urban Heritage: Characterized by the Old Quarter with its small, winding alleys and bustling tube houses.
  • French Planning Heritage: Evident in the grand boulevards, formal squares, and monumental public works like the Trang Tien axis, heavily influenced by Haussmann's planning of Paris.

From this discovery, OasisConcept developed a multi-layered Urban Design and Landscape Design solution:

  • Crafting a Vibrant Streetscape: We don't just plan roads; we tell stories on them. Streets are themed with distinct architectural styles: some reflect the elegance of French-Indochine architecture, while others capture the essence of Hanoi's traditional Old QuarterStreet Furniture, including benches, lighting, and signage, is custom-designed. Urban Decoration elements, such as flower bicycles and sculptures of street vendors, are placed as artistic accents to subtly evoke nostalgia.
  • Plaza Design – The Community's Heart: Two main squares are designed with distinct purposes. Dong Kinh Nghia Thuc Square is recreated with its signature fountain as a striking landscape centerpiece. MeanwhileLy Thai To Square, anchored by a majestic Monument, is envisioned as a grand space for community festivals, cultural events, art performances, and firework displays.
  • The Art of Urban Lighting and Sculpture: Our design places special emphasis on the nighttime experience. The Urban Lighting system is meticulously planned as an artful Lighting Design. It not only illuminates but also highlights the architectural beauty of landmark features, guides visitors, and creates a safe, romantic, and shimmering atmosphere around the lake. Sculptures and monuments receive accent lighting, turning them into cultural beacons in the night.
  • Recreating Iconic Landmarks: Iconic structures such as Turtle Tower, The Huc Bridge, But Tower, and Khue Van Cac are researched and recreated with deep respect for the originals, yet flexibly adapted to the contemporary space. We focused not on mechanical imitation, but on capturing the authentic proportions, spirit, and placement of each structure, allowing them to truly "live" and connect emotionally with people in a new context.

4. The Result: A Legacy for the Future

Ho Guom Xanh, through the lens of OasisConcept, is more than a Landscape Design project. It is a testament to our comprehensive Urban Planning and Design capabilities, where we craft a complete cultural ecosystem. In partnership with TBSLand's vision, we are proud to have contributed to a new icon and a sustainable Urban Heritage where the past and future intersect and thrive.
